VISCO is offered as an Enterprise-wide application designed to manage all aspects of a chemical importer and distributor’s business. However, some customers will choose to integrate the VISCO software with existing legacy systems. There are several areas of possible integration, including but not limited to:
Accounting Systems - VISCO comes out of the box with integrations to QuickBooks, Traverse and Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics. Other accounting integrations are also available.
Shipping Company Systems - You can pull shipping information about your containers directly from your shipping company. VISCO offers preformatted import tools. Ask your sales representative for details.
EDI - Customer Purchase Order import tools are available as well as invoice and shipping advice exports. This is estimated on a case by case basis.
The VISCO team is able bring data from your existing system applications into the new system. There are two options here:
Bring over key data elements (recommended) - Most customers will choose to simply convert “key data elements” (products, customer, vendors, etc..) and leave the legacy system up and running for historical transactional information. This is an inexpensive approach transitioning to the new system.
Full Data Conversion - This includes converting key data elements as well as transactional history. This approach is generally taken by larger companies.
